Holy Cross Energy is seeking applications for a full-time Electric Lineworker, third year Apprentice or above, to be located in its Glenwood Springs, Colorado facility. It is preferred the successful candidate possess at least three years of electric utility experience, or two years experience and an electric line school certificate. Applicants will be subject to a skills evaluation/placement test. Tasks involve construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electric distribution line, working in awkward positions, in adverse weather, repetitive lifting of 80 to 100 pounds, exposure to noise and potentially dangerous conditions. Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, valid Colorado commercial driver's license or be able to obtain one in six months, physical abilities to accomplish duties, an aptitude for line work and the ability to work as part of a crew. The successful candidate will be on-call to respond to emergency situations on a rotating basis and must reside within 30 minutes driving time from the Glenwood Springs, CO office, or no further west than Rifle, CO. A mortgage assistance program is available after six months of employment. The position includes a monthly housing allowance and an excellent benefit package. Starting wage will be in the $26.50 to $31.79/hour range depending upon experience.
